Roel Dullaart and Anna Ågren form the core of musical group De Andersons. The name De Andersons symbolizes their Swedish-Dutch connection (Roel is Dutch, Anna half-Swedish). De Andersons are quickly gaining popularity in the Dutch theaters and are known for their diversified musical theater programs that have a message as well as humor. Their production ‘Vreeswijk & De Andersons’, about the life and music of Cornelis Vreeswijk, has received rave reviews and their eponymous CD has generated a lot of attention on national and local radio.
In 2015/2016 their show ‘Stockholm Snows’ could be seen in over more than 50 theaters and an album with songs from the show was released. Currently they are on tour with their new concert ‘Hier Dooft Niets’ (‘Nothing Extinguishes Here’), which will play in over 75 theaters and special venues (boats, churches, museums, forts etc.) throughout the Netherlands. In the past they have performed at the International Peace Festival
in Lothlorien, France, the Cornelis Vreeswijk Festival in Stockholm and at various locations in San Francisco, USA.
Besides their work as on stage performers both Anna and Roel are professional singing coaches. They achieved a Bachelor of Music degree at the Conservatory in Tilburg in 2005 and continued their masters at the Koningstheater Academy in the city of Den Bosch at which they graduated in 2007. Since then they have been teaching and coaching all different kinds of singers, musical groups and choirs. Their main goal with their students is to attain a steady technique combined with a passionate performance. In the past they have coached Dutch, Swedish and Sri Lankan musical groups.
